Stanwell House is only a suitable venue for a small

 live band although a Disco is fine

 music must finish prompt by midnight

 

Bar closes at 12.00midnight Friday & Saturdays to non-residents,

for guests who are residents the bar is available 24hours.

 

No food or drink may be sold or consumed in the room in which a marriage ceremony takes place for one hour prior to the ceremony, or at any time during the ceremony.

 

The Bride and Groom are requested to arrange

WEDDING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

  • Simply call and we will be able to advise you of the available date, check the dates with the church and registry office. Having agreed a suitable date, you can make a provisional booking.

  • Provisional bookings will be held for 14 days or until another request for the date is made. At this time you will be asked to confirm the booking or release the date.

  • To confirm a booking, a non-refundable deposit of £500.00 is required     together with the signed terms and conditions contract.

  • 2nd deposit of 50% of the total wedding proforma required 3 months prior to the date of wedding.

  • The balance required 1 month prior to the date of  Wedding

  • Cancellation within 12 weeks of wedding ; 50% of the costs quoted

  • Cancellation within 6 weeks of wedding ;    75% of costs quoted

  • Cancellation ;                                                     full quoted costs

  • Corkage charges for wine is £12.00, for sparkling wine is £17.00 and for Champagne £22.00 per 75cl bottle.

  • No food or liquor may be bought into the hotel by any guest for consumption on the premises without consent from the hotel.

  • All confetti must be used outside of the hotel and be bio-degradable.

 

All prices are inclusive of V.A.T. and are correct at time of going to press.  Prices are valid until the end of 2010, all wedding enquiries for 2011 please allow for approximately a 10% increase.

In the event of any taxation change beyond the control of the Hotel (e.g. increases in the standard rate of VAT), the Hotel reserves the right to vary the prices quoted to an extent which reflects such change

The clients (Bride & Groom) are responsible for any loss or damage caused to the Hotel property/equipment or any equipment hired to the client, by the client or the client’s guests.  It is regretted that no liability can be accepted for the property of customers.  The staff are without authority to accept any articles on any other terms.

Functions must finish at the time agreed when booking

The minimum number of guests charged for on a Friday and Saturday is 65.  Minimum numbers may not apply to mid-week or Sunday Weddings.

All weddings on a Friday and Saturday must have an evening buffet catered for, for a minimum of 80% of total guests attending.

 

ACCOMMODATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

Parking please note that the hotel does have a limited number of parking spaces in its own car park, these cannot be pre-booked and are on a first come, first served basis. Alternatively a public pay & display car park can be found opposite the hotel. The cost is approx £5.00 for 24 hours. Parking on the high street in front of the hotel is free between the hours of 6.00pm and 10.00am Monday - Friday, Free all day Sunday (no time restrictions apply) On Friday nights NO parking on the high street is permitted, due to the Saturday Charter Market. Valet parking can be arranged in advance with reception.

At the point of booking a room, we require a Credit Card Number, Expiry Date, and the last three numbers of the security code on the reverse, Name on the card and the Issue number for Switch Cards. A deposit equivalent to the first nights stay will be charged to this card, on completion of this transaction your confirmation will be sent out to you either by post or email. This deposit is non-refundable, however should you wish to cancel, and provided you have given 48 hour notice, the deposit will be kept for a 6 month period to allow you to re-book at a later date. Should cancellation be made less than 48 hours prior to you arrival date, no re-booking will be permitted.

Group bookings of 6 rooms and over, the cancellation period will be 1 week prior to arrival.

All accommodation is to be paid for the first nights stay, any extras that are incurred such as, drinks, meals, papers, chocolates and flowers must be paid on departure. 

We respectfully remind guests that a reservation constitutes a contract between themselves and the Hotel. Any reservation or part thereof cancelled within the 48 hour policy will be charged for.

Stanwell House reserves the right to cancel any bookings should extenuating circumstances or errors occur preventing them from proceeding. Please note this is not good for business and would only be through emergency or within ample notice to source an alternative. Stanwell House will not be liable for any losses occurring as a result of such action.
